In blue like this one, manual, base model, $12941 CAD as a pre-haggle price. That's $10273 USD for all you 'Murica Oppo's. Thoughts?

I hate it, but it's a Micra, so that's a given. Go for it, if you like the look of it!

It's a decent deal if you can haggle at least $300 off. Have you ever tried e-tendering?

Have you driven it? I personally did not care for it much, and I found the Mirage to be a much better car.

Is that before or after taxes/fees? Not to beat a dead horse, but at that point I'd find a CPO Ford Fiesta.

If I could get it under $10k in real (American) dollars after fees and shit, umm, I'd totally buy one. America needs more stupid cheap hatches. I like the Mirage for what it is, but it's about $3k too much.

e-tendering is when you ask for a quote from a bunch of different dealers for identically optioned cars via email. It works great if you can travel. You can easily knock off money without having to haggle.

I've driven both. It's like saying Burger King makes a better gourmet meal then McDonalds. They're both not that great haha

Haha I know someone would go all Tavarish on my and go "You could get this M3 for the price of a Micra" but its a brand new car. There is one in town with these rims on it, looks sharp.

I'm really just in the early stages of looking for something reliable to take the DD off of my Sonoma since its getting older, I will likely buy a new truck -cough- Canyon -cough- not that long from now as well so maybe something in the $5000 range might suit me for now.

Hey, I'm all for small, cheap and new... Just, small, cheap and new without the Micra badge. (We've had them for a long time here in the UK, and while they've always been respectable as cheap, reliable transportation, they've never compared all that well with their contemporaries when it comes to happy fun time driving. Also, the old ones rusted like an eighties Lancia.)
As I say, though, it's up to you, man. I'll never like them, but plenty of people do!
I do rather like those wheels.

True, but wouldn't a warrantied yet depreciated very recent car be a better pick? With, from my perspective, comically cheap fuel and tax where you live I don't really see the point in a car like a Micra.
Where I live we still pay $2 CAD a liter for gasoline ($7.50 CAD a gallon US). We also pay through the nose in tax. The Netherlands only example: my 'big' midsizecar is $1500 CAD a year while my 'little' 1980s 205 GTI is only $300 CAD a year.

If it truly is an absolute base model I wouldn't pay a cent over $12,171.00 all in since that is what Nissan charges including Alberta tax and delivery
